The Tunnel

The voice lowered as I started walking. Inside the tunnel, there were no signs of any source of existence. I could only see my shadow and hear my footsteps. Since the beginning, it was a roller coaster of surprises. I wanted more specific answers, not that I don't like surprises, but for more clarity. 

On the other side of the tunnel was a stary room with a wooden path and a man was looking towards me, looks like he is waiting for me. 

He smiled at me and introduced himself as 'KEY', the caretaker of this room. As we walked I explained to him about the sanctuary, the woman, tree, the voice, and how I ended up in a tunnel which led me to this room. We continued to walk, the room looked pleasant and it reminded me of how I gazed at the night sky. I watched all the twinkling stars, they all looked stunning as if they were diamond-studded in the sky. There was soothing music in the background and the stars started to move around. The path elevates making it possible for me to feel the sky as such. There was a slight breeze that brushed through my hair, it felt so good. 

The man then came up to me and handed me two reels, he asked me to wave both of them and when it touches the stars it would start playing. I did as he instructed and the reels started to play, splitting the room into two. One of them was me enjoying the sanctuary and living a good life thereafter. And, on the other was me with my family and friends, the regular life I lived. After this, he asked me to choose among them. I loved going back to the sanctuary and being with them, they all seemed so nice and happy, absolutely nothing to worry about. I have always dreamed of a life like that. My life has never been this fair to me, now it's pointing out I deserve the tiniest of happiness. I gleamed with joy. 

I closed my eyes for a while, scenes from my life filled the entire mind, taking me back to where I actually belong.

The voice said, "you will seek what you desire".

 

The Island

The lady pointed at the Island and enlightened me with the significance of the tree and why I should get to the Island. Later, she left me with a note saying, ''you will seek what you desire''. Now, I need to get there, but how? There was a constant rattling sound in the distance. I turned around to see what it is? There was a boat floating tied to the shore. Quickly, mounted on the boat and I was all set to sail. Though it looked near to the shore, it wasn't. It took some time for me to reach the Island. 

The Island was calm but was resounding, so the noises that I make reverberated every single time.

I got down from the boat and walked towards the tree. The grass was mushy and green with so many pretty butterflies flying around.

I sat on the chair beneath the tree, out of bloom all these butterflies gathered around making certain patterns around the tree, it looked beautiful to see. Only, it seemed they were twinkling. All those while, they were butterflies, now, they transformed into some form of light, brighter than usual. When the light hit me, I felt a soothing experience, like it was putting me to sleep. I slowly closed my eyes, soon there were flashes and scenes in my mind, it was chaotic. I tried my best to get it organized, but I just couldn't. Suddenly, something shook me and I woke. There were a pleasant smell and diffusion of a strange gas, it filled completely, and with a blink of an eye transformed into a tunnel. It opened wide and took me in. There was a noise that said, "you will seek what you desire" and a reminder about the significance.

The Sanctuary

Those were happy tears; down there, I saw flashes and scenes from the happiest moments from my life, with every single person I have ever met. I couldn't be happier than I was, seeing the very sight. My heart skipped a beat, with all the excitement. Badly wanted to go down there, to at least have a closer watch of those moments. Life never gives another chance to live those moments usually, so we store them as fond memories in our brain, but here, I just got lucky. I was ready to take the leap of faith, to just let it all go. My heart kept saying, JUMP, JUMP, JUMP. Yes... I shouted 'JUMP' and there, I leaned down to fall. Wait...I'm going up instead, I wondered what's happening, I should be going down not up. It took a while to realize that, the same man who I had seen on the staircase had held my hand and we were flying around with a bunch of balloons, like a mini-tour in space. Screaming so loud, I didn't know how to express my feeling. We both laughed and flew around for a while. After, our mini-expedition he took me down to a place so strange but immensely serene. On the entrance, it said, welcome to the sanctuary.

I looked around seeing the serenity and lush greenery surrounding the sanctuary. The man showed me around, he walked ahead of me with his family. Meanwhile, I wondered why they don't want to speak with me. We met each other in a strange circumstance, hmm...perhaps people here don't talk to outsiders, maybe they have other modes of communication. Something, that connects my mind to theirs and vice-versa. But there was never a situation where I didn't understand whatever he tried to communicate with me, even with his mouth shut.

 I continued to follow them. There were other people too, they all looked busy doing some sort of meditation. Some were busy with their family, on seeing me, they smiled. We walked till the very end of the sanctuary; there, I saw cottages which I suppose belonged to the people there and a Brooke ahead of us. The man looked at me, instantly I heard someone speak inside my head, the man was speaking to me. He told me this is where we stay and pointed at a lady. He said, she will take me around the rest of the places.

 

I went around and waited for the lady. She greeted me first; then, with their telepathic language asked me to wait, as she had some more work yet to finish. She also asked me to go around that place and have a look at everything. I went around the Brooke, felt the cold water, heard birds chirping in distance, sat on a rock beside the water, and simply experienced the nature. I realized something, people here lived a simple life, they look so happy and satisfied. I met a few children who were playing alongside, they never complained about anything, when I asked them about how they spend time there. Found time to speak with some of the adults among the group too. Insights they gave me, were just amazing. I quickly got along with those people. Later, the lady returned and told me something awaits me and that we have to leave soon. We crossed the bridge which separates the cottages and the dense forest, it was snowy inside and dark too. The lady handed me a torch that looked like a glowing stick. At a distance, I could see a door which then opened to a secret spell, it sounded like the lady was singing to it. The door opened to an Island with a tree and a chair beneath it.

The Staircase

and wait... I see something.....

It took some time to see what was in front of me, as the bright light had managed to obstruct my image. The void cleared itself into a staircase, where I saw a man standing at the very extreme end of sight. Around him was a complete aura of light. Seeing the man I panicked but resisted it for my curiosity. But before I could ask him or at least reach up to him; there, he vanished leaving the staircase all to myself. Felt a little strange and scared, at the same time a quest for an adventure. Good lord, I always followed my instincts, so took the chance to see what's next.

Believe me or not I have only heard people say they're on cloud 9 but at this very moment, I was able to experience it.

Found me in a beautiful valley of clouds, it was mesmerizing, peaceful, and refreshing. I couldn't feel lighter than I ever felt there. Enjoyed myself a walk over the clouds and occasionally did a sneak peek to see what's down there, but to my surprise, couldn't see anything clearly. Later, I saw that the path is coming to a dead-end; didn't find a lead to go, if at all I wanted to. I stood at the very end of the path peeping downwards, tears rolled down my eyes to what I saw.

It Begins

Gazing up the night sky from my window is one thing I like from my daily routine, I spend hours contemplating life choices,  all of a sudden everything around me starts to look very beautiful. 

Today as well, I never failed to do the same old routine of mine, but I don't know for some reason I was unusually very exhausted and eventually sleepy. Like always, I thanked God for yet another beautiful day and went off to sleep. 

A cold breeze blew into my room through the window, I couldn't stop myself but to experience the continuous flow of wind through my legs. The room got filled with this cold breeze and it started to look like, it's trying to show me a vague picture. I looked at it closely, and to my surprise, I was able to see a part of the entire universe in front of me. This was extraordinary and beautiful, never have I ever experienced something like this before, it felt very pleasing and at the same time shaky. But I stood there watching all of this happen. Amidst this, a white light struck my eye, quickly changing the whole scene into a void and wait... I see something...
